The garden at Domi Casa in Ahangama

Hello from Ahangama,

This is the first time we have written to you, so let us introduce ourselves properly.

Domi Collection is two houses on Sri Lanka's south coast, built by the same hands that host them. Domi Casa sits on a quiet residential road in Ahangama West, 450 metres on foot from Marshmallow beach. Domi Safiya rests ten quiet minutes inland in the Elukatiya hills: two ensuite bedrooms and its own pool, made for four people who want the garden to themselves.

We run them the way we would want to be received ourselves. The house works: spotless rooms, fast wi-fi, beds you actually sleep well in. The people are real: Nishantha looks after your stay, Nadeeka and Fairuz keep the house, and Damith is the tuk-tuk driver you will probably be texting by day three. And Sri Lanka is right there at the gate: king coconuts from the garden, the fish market up the road, the cafés of Ahangama a walk, not a drive.

Guests keep writing the same sentence in their reviews, so we have stopped trying to say it better than they do:

"The place really did feel like a home away from home."
Zaheera, Domi Casa, July 2026

Once a month, this letter brings you one of three things: the making of the houses, the people behind them, or the village around them. No shouting offers, no filler. When our two new houses open in Kurunduwatta this November, about 400 metres from Domi Casa in the same lived-in neighbourhood, this letter hears about it first. (You can read that letter here: The next chapter.)

Questions about dates, long stays, or what the coast is like in your month? Message us on WhatsApp at +94 77 057 7333. We answer within the hour.

Warm from Ahangama,
Dominic & the Domi Collection team
