Marshmallow Beach and Sticks are a five-minute walk from the gate, Kabalana “The Rock” about ten. Boards go in the storage, the shower has real pressure, and the hammock is waiting for the afternoon.
Damith knows every surf spot and shortcut in Ahangama, so the next break is a tuk-tuk away. Lessons with local instructors we know personally are arranged on WhatsApp. December to April is the main season, when the surf on the south coast is at its most consistent.

About a ten-minute walk to Kabalana “The Rock”. Marshmallow Beach and Sticks are five minutes on foot, and Damith’s tuk-tuk covers the breaks further along the coast.
Can you arrange surf lessons?
Yes. Surf instructors are local partners we know personally. Lessons are a paid service under their own terms, and you hear the price before you confirm.
When is the surf best in Ahangama?
December to April is the main season on the south coast: dry, sunny, and the surf at its most consistent. May to November is quieter, greener, and kinder on prices. The house is open year round.
Can I rent a scooter?
We arrange rentals on request, but the paperwork is yours: to drive legally in Sri Lanka you need a valid International Driving Permit plus a Sri Lankan recognition permit.
