Most villas hand you keys. We hand you a number that answers day and night, and a host whose network is the whole south coast. Most of what's below comes with your stay. Whatever doesn't, you'll hear the price before you confirm.
Airport pickup.
One of our drivers will meet you at Colombo airport, hand over cold water, and put on whatever music you like for the ride down. Two-hour drive; you'll be in the pool by mid-afternoon. There's a fare for the ride, and you'll hear the price before you book it.
Stock the fridge.
Send us a list before you fly and it'll be waiting. Fresh fruit, coffee, kids' snacks, wine, anything specific from home. We'll go to the market on the day.
Baby & child set-up.
Cot, high chair, kid-safe bathroom step, pool floaties: tell us the ages and it'll be in the house when you walk in.
Housekeeping.
As often as you like, or not at all. Beds re-made, kitchen reset, towels swapped. The house is yours: tell us your rhythm and we keep to it.
Breakfast prepared.
Fresh tropical fruit, eggs any way you like them, curd and treacle, strong Ceylon tea. It can be arranged and laid out whenever you're up: just write to us the evening before.
Restaurant reservations.
The good tables in Ahangama, Weligama, Mirissa, Galle. Some places don't take bookings from the outside: they take ours.
Getting around.
One phone call. Half-day, full-day, or just a run to the shop. Our drivers know the coast; some speak German or Spanish. Scooters too: we arrange rentals on request, so tell us when and for how long.
Guides, tours, boats.
Whale-watching skippers, Yala safari guides, cinnamon-plantation walks. Tell us what you fancy and we'll sort the dates and the details.
Reply within an hour.
WhatsApp, day or night. If it's a real emergency it's faster. We answer in English and German.
Doctor, pharmacy, dentist.
We know a general practitioner we trust in Ahangama, a dentist for emergencies, and where the nearest 24-hour pharmacy is.
Security, when you're out.
The house is looked after when you're out. Locks, alarms, and someone we trust on the property. You don't have to think about it.
